Kurt Rauer is a co-founder and producer at Unified Pictures, where he helps guide production, operations, post-production, and animation. Trained in architectural 3D rendering, he built his early career across digital animation, visual effects, interactive media, and production management.
Rauer became a partner at Frontline in 1994 and later worked with Riveted Studios and Interplay, leading creative and technical teams on projects including Metalwerks, Spawn, Army Men, and Star Trek: Klingon Academy. He subsequently co-founded ElectroAge Studios with Tim Montijo, producing animation and digital effects for major commercial and feature-film clients before joining Keith Kjarval to establish Unified Pictures in 2004.
At Unified, Rauer has helped develop and produce projects across live action and animation. His work spans Don't Move, The Perfect Sleep, Janie Jones, A Single Shot, Rudderless, and The Ark and the Aardvark. He also spearheaded Unified's expansion of Vampire Hunter D, producing the Kickstarter-backed graphic novel Vampire Hunter D: Message from Mars and helping develop the property for a global audience with its Japanese rights holders and creative partners.
Most recently, Rauer is one of the driving forces behind The Animation Roundtable, a global initiative connecting animation creators, studios, investors, and technology partners to advance projects and new business opportunities across the sector.
